EBONYI MEDIA GOVERNOR, DAVID NWEZE UMAHI BOWS OUT IN DAYS, FOR THE STATE’S FREEDOM

David Nweze Umahi
Ebonyi State Governor

As the clock ticks, days of elected office holders in Nigeria are numbered as the country prepares to swear into office a new set of leaders who would either improve the country’s economy or make it worst for it’s citizens.

It is a known fact that out of the 36 Governors of the states in Nigeria, Governor David Nweze Umahi’s name has made it’s way to different media houses more which is a clear indication that his songs has been song more on media than any other Governor in the country past or present.

Governor Umahi who’s presently ranked as the best Governor in Nigeria based on social media praises has done little or nothing in terms of human capital development, unfortunately, he’s proud of that negative impact.

It is no longer news that the outgoing Governor built 18 fly over bridges around the state, built an airport and a worship place known as ecumenical center, all credit to his name but our findings has shown they were all built on federal roads and the state government under his watch cashed out from the president Mohammadu Buhari led administration.

Ebonyi business mogul, Orogwu Peter (Baby-Oku) at the airport for a test run.

It’s worrisome to note that students understand the scholarship scheme of the state government were abandoned abroad to find their ways back home and they had no other choice than to drop out of school and seek help on how to relocate back to Nigeria.

According to informations made available to us, the outgoing Governor never employed a single civil servant since he assumed office. Umahi is said to have retired a lot of civil servants with neither pension nor gratuity paid for eight(8) good years.

As Umahi bows out of office, there’s every tendency that Ebonyians will all match to church for thanksgiving irrespective of their political differences

Ejike Mbaka once again reacted to the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, saying the IPOB leader is not a murderer as no one has ever caught him carrying guns. The renowned Christian leader made this known during a special service at the adoration ground on Sunday, and said Kanu should be released because his arrest has not in anyway stop the killings being recorded in the country. In the video uploaded through his official Facebook page, Mbaka specifically between 1:00:00 -1:17:22 timeline of the video, spoke at length about how some government officials had approached him last week and held a meeting with him for about two hours. The priest disclosed that the officials told him they were sent to give him an offer of two slots for a job, but he rejected the slots and told them he has an offer he would rather prefer than the said slots.Mbaka said he told the officials that the offer he would want them to grant him, is to free detained Nnamdi Kanu.He lamented that and said Kanu’s re-arrest is of no use because his detention has not made banditry and kidnapping activities to stop, but rather it has been on the increase in the northern states. He said:” Nnamdi Kanu is not a murderer. No one has ever caught him carry guns. Have they seen him kill anybody?””Specifically, I told them the offer I want is for them to you release Nnamdi Kanu” “I told them to rather expend the same vigour and intelligence they used in arresting Kanu towards bandits and terrorists disturbing the country” “The government should rather arrest the cause of agitations all around the country, rather than arresting individuals.””The real cause of agitations is that people are not happy, there’s hunger in the land and the youths are idle.”

speak to you today as a Nigerian. As I have quite often said, I will live as a Nigerian, die as a Nigerian, and on the resurrection morning I will ask God for permission to rise as a Nigerian, with the green-white-green flag in my hand!” Mr Adesina said.

“Nigeria is blessed with incredibly rich diversity: of people, of cultures, of religions, of mineral resources, oil, and gas, an amazingly rich biodiversity, that should make us the envy of the world. We are blessed with abundantly diverse agro-ecologies, that should also make us a land of bountiful harvests with capacity to feed Africa.

“We are a religious nation, so we should understand that God loves diversity. The diversity of rich and brilliant colours that we see in our forests, oceans, seas, and in flora and fauna, reflect the beauty of the Creator.

“Therefore, our diversity is not our problem. Diversity is our strength.

“But when mismanaged, diversity becomes divergence. Rather than unite, we become splintered, with each entity believing that, somehow, it is better without the other.”

While urging Nigerians to learn from the Singaporean example, Mr Adesina urged Africa’s most populous nation to manage its diversity well for the collective good of its people.
